His full name: Theodor Seuss Geisel aka Dr. Seuss.
Born on: March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts (if he were alive today he would be 106 but he died in 1991)
An interesting fact: His first book And to Think that I Saw it on Mulberry Street was rejected by 27 publishers. The 28th publisher, Vanguard Press, sold six million copies of the book.
A good quote: I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living. - Dr. Seuss (of course).
